CD: UK Aspire to be a . . . DJ
On arrival at the studio an experienced dj , together with a recording engineer will give you a quick tour of your state-of-the-art recording facility. after which you will also be given the opportunity to see how a dj mixes tracks together on a professional production system. following this 10 minute demonstration your dj will begin his ’crash course’. utilising new pro dj decks & a 2-channel mixer we will teach you about the equipment , how to mix vinyl , record your own mix cd and scratch (if required). you will be given plenty of opportunity to perfect your new found skills , as well as take photographs for you to remember your dj experience. the session ends with your debut performance in our “mock” club environment to give you a glimpse of how it feels to be a pro dj. you will get to take home a copy of your own mix cd to keep as a momentum of the day. to do the activity you should be: -fitness requirements: not suitable for people with hearing complaints qualifications needed: you need to have a good sense of rhythm minimum age: 7how long will it last?: -approximate length of activity: up to 2 ½ hoursreport time: 15 minutes priorwhat should i bring?: -recommended clothing: casual and comfortableequipment that will be supplied: we do have a small library of vinyls however if you have a certain genre of music you prefer then we recommend that you bring your own. all other equipment suppliedrefreshments: -refreshments given to you: a range of soft drinks are available. where you can buy refreshments: nottingham has its own on-site café bar the other venue is close to a variety of shops bars and restaurants. when can i go?: -monday – sundaywhat you need to know?: -under 18's must be accompanied by an adult unless prior authorisedhow many others?: -it'll just be you and the pro. three of your friends & family are welcome to watch you take part , refreshments will be provided for your spectators at no costwhere: nottingham & brighton
